ABOUT
Jacqui
I was always creative as a child, I was often found sitting in a field sketching flowers and nature on the family farm in the Shropshire countryside. I was mesmerised by the beautiful blooms capturing their individuality through the season. Or wearing my wellies helping on the farm, I was taught to respect the land, to cherish its beauty, and to leave it better than I found it - a lesson that continues to inspire my work today.
Following my heart led me to achieve a 1st Class Honours in Surface Pattern Design at University where I developed expertise in visual design, colour theory, and pattern creation with a deep appreciation for nature’s aesthetics. And yes, you guessed it flowers featured heavily! This artistic foundation now influences my floral designs, where I seamlessly merge design principles with natural elements to create visually striking and harmonious arrangements.
I then pursued a successful career as a Visual Merchandising Manager at John Lewis, leading creative window and store-wide presentations. However, I missed being creative so I began a professional course in floristry and I loved it!
In 2013 I founded Jacqui O, a luxury floral design business dedicated to creating sensuous florals and breathtaking sustainable designs. Replacing corporate meetings with the joy of working with flowers felt like coming home. My passion lies in showcasing the exquisite gifts of nature, not only for their beauty but for their ability to evoke powerful emotions for life’s most memorable occasions.

Weddings & Events: My true passion
I specialise in bespoke wedding and celebration florals, bringing each couple’s unique vision to life. Weddings hold a special place in my heart. I really do love them! My first wedding project was for my sister, and it was an unforgettable experience as she got married at Chester Zoo. That moment confirmed my belief that floristry is more than just a job; it’s a way of life, much like the farming roots I cherish.
As Claude Monet famously said, "I must have flowers, always, and always." This sentiment resonates deeply with me, inspiring my dedication to creating floral masterpieces that celebrate love, joy, and the natural world.
