Bringing Chloe & Brandon’s Dream Wedding to Life at Dorfold Hall

As a florist, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a couple’s vision blossom into reality—literally! When Chloe and Brandon entrusted me with the floristry for their wedding at Dorfold Hall, I knew it was going to be a truly special day. Their theme of understated elegance, with a colour palette of copper, blue, cream, white, and peach, provided the perfect canvas for me to create something truly magical.

The Perfect Setting: Dorfold Hall

Dorfold Hall, with its rich history and elegant yet contemporary style, was the ideal backdrop for Chloe and Brandon’s wedding. The venue’s charm lies in its ability to blend tradition with modernity, offering a unique space that feels both grand and intimate. The moment Chloe saw the hall, she knew it was ‘the one,’ and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to adorn such a beautiful location with my floral designs.

Crafting the Floral Story

From our very first meeting, it was evident that Chloe deeply loved flowers and wanted them to take centre stage on her wedding day. We collaborated closely to create a vibrant, cohesive theme that reflected the couple's personality, ensuring the floral arrangements were breathtaking and unique.

Ceremony Flowers: For the ceremony, I designed an aisle adorned with romantic arrangements that set the perfect stage for Chloe’s grand entrance. The floral palette featured fluffy soft caramel and vanilla baby’s breath, 'Toffee' and 'Sweet Avalanche' blush pink roses, and a touch of Man City blue—a nod to Brandon’s beloved football club. The highlight was undoubtedly the luxurious floral arch, a stunning arrangement that framed the couple as they exchanged their vows. Creating something so grand yet in harmony with the natural beauty of Dorfold Hall was a true joy. Despite the rain, often seen as a symbol of good luck, the arch became a beautiful backdrop for their group photographs.

Reception Décor: The transition from ceremony to reception was seamless, with flowers playing a key role in maintaining elegance throughout the day. The centrepieces were a mix of elevated glass vase arrangements and low-footed bowl arrangements, carefully designed to add height and dimension to the room without overwhelming it. The colours—peach, cream, blue, and touches of copper—flowed beautifully across the tables, creating a cohesive look that tied the entire theme together.

One of the most important aspects for Chloe was ensuring that nothing went to waste. I repurposed the ceremony flowers for the reception, which allowed the stunning arrangements to be enjoyed throughout the evening. It also meant that guests could take home a piece of the day, as we created bouquets from the floral arrangements that they could cherish long after the wedding.

"Our wedding wouldn’t have been nearly as special without the help from Jacqui, our florist and stylist. She took my rambled explanation of my vision and brought it to life and then some. The venue was covered in flowers and looked like something out of a fairy tale and was everything I ever could have wanted. She went above and beyond, even adding extra touches to make the day perfect. Words really can’t do it justice."

A Day to Remember

Every wedding has its unique moments, but Chloe and Brandon’s day was filled with memories that will last a lifetime. From the intimate ceremony under the flower arch to the joyful reception filled with laughter and dancing, it was a day where every detail came together perfectly.

One of the most touching moments for me was seeing Chloe’s reaction to the flowers on the morning of her wedding. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do—creating beauty that enhances such an important day in a couple’s life.

Thank you, Chloe and Brandon, for trusting me with your vision. It was an absolute honour to be a part of your special day, and I’m thrilled that the flowers played a role in making it unforgettable.
